This bed is everything we hoped it would be! The gentle heating is perfect because it's warm enough to be a cat magnet, but it doesn't get too hot and I'm comfortable leaving it on for extended periods without worrying about safety. We got it for our 10-year-old cat Hermes who has some arthritis and a knee issue, and he instantly adopted it as his new home base. It has a really nice dense foam that is more supportive than most memory foam products, and that seems to be great for his joints. I can see him deliberately getting in different positions and it seems like he can get more comfortable without favoring his affected leg (in other beds I often see him sticking his leg out in a specific way). The size and shape are great - Hermes's frame is on the larger size and it fits him well and seems to cradle his body nicely in different positions. The material for the cover is a nice soft fleece and I'm happy it's washable. I had an issue with shipping and Knead's customer service took care of it. Great purchase and Hermes couldn't be happier!

My eldest cat had to have her ACL replaced years ago and she struggles with arthritis in that leg….especially when it starts to get cold. From the day I opened the box she had been on this bed. I have gotten several more to go in the rooms she spends most of her time in. What is truly amazing is that the youngest cat, who doesn’t like the typical cat bed is also obsessed with this bed, Glad I have several 😉.

How does it warm up?
Knead Therapeutic Bed is designed to reach its cat-friendly temperature (104F) after a minute or two. Smart electronics detect and maintain this temperature to prevent any injury, which can be caused with higher temperatures. Place your hand on the mattress surface to feel the difference after 1-2 minutes to experience the warmth for yourself.
How do I turn on the heat?
- Press the button once to activate continuous heat mode: orange indicator light
- Press the button twice to activate the 4-hour heat mode: white indicator light
- Press the button three times to activate the 8-hour heating mode: blue indicator light
- Press the button four times to turn the heat off
- Press and hold the button for 3 seconds, at any time, to enter the herbal therapy setting: red indicator light
How do I use self-heating herbal pads?
- The 30-minute herbal therapy heats The Bed to 113F to help improve blood circulation and reduce arthritis pain.
- Affix the sticky herbal pads on the back of the mattress cover on the designated circles by turning the mattress cover inside out.
- Remove the herbal pads after every use
How do I wash and care for Knead Therapeutic Bed?
- The cover is fully washable and will remain in perfect condition for about 40 washes.
- Unzip the outer cover, and wash in a laundry bag in cold water on a gentle cycle.
- Line dry.
- Do NOT tumble dry, bleach, or dry clean.The foam mattress is water-resistant and can be wiped with a wet cloth.
