My boy loves it once he realized it was heated. He’ll even go wait on it till it’s turned back on again.
Just need to see how it holds up over time, we’re still in the first month of running it. Would be cool if there was some weight sense technology so the cat could turn it on themselves.

My cat will normally ignore any bed I try to give her for 3 days after I present it. As soon as I set this bed up in her normal napping spot she was loudly meowing with excitement and immediately hopped on it and flopped. She was so excited about it. She loves the heat. I’m not sure whether it’s helping her arthritis pain throughout the day but she is definitely getting better sleep and not comfortable while she’s wresting. She used to shift around and move her hips in pain. Now she sleeps like an adorable little rock.

I ordered one Knead bed for my little girl who has congenital kidney disease. I want her to be as comfy as possible and she likes to be warm all year. I didn’t think her big , chunky, brother would care, she always sits by the heaters he doesn’t, and I have plenty of cat beds everywhere. When the Knead arrived I opened the box and before I could remove the plastic molding over it he was on it. Once I got him off I put the Knead on the floor and he took it, and she wanted it, it wasn’t even plugged in. I had to shut him in another room so she could sit on it and there was no tempting or transition or anything she just laid down on it immediately. Of course when I let him out we had cat fights over the bed. He’s closer to 20 pounds and takes up the entire bed, and he didn’t want to share. I ordered another within 24 hours with the email coupon they provide - thank you . They are still their go to places. My little girl comes and tells me when I need to turn them on. In fact, I’d love a phone app that would allow me to remotely start them. I know these are expensive beds, and it was a splurge, especially for two, but if they last a few years without issue they are well worth it. Also no one has chewed them up or ripped them to pieces , which with my chunky boy was a concern. If you have two cats , if you can possibly afford it , you better buy one for each.

How does it warm up?
Knead Therapeutic Bed is designed to reach its cat-friendly temperature (104F) after a minute or two. Smart electronics detect and maintain this temperature to prevent any injury, which can be caused with higher temperatures. Place your hand on the mattress surface to feel the difference after 3-4 minutes to experience the warmth for yourself.
How do I turn on the heat?
The bed warms to a safe cat-friendly 104°F (40°C) within 3 - 4 minutes, with smart controls to prevent overheating.Settings:
- 4-Hour Heating Mode (Red Indicator): Press the button once: The bed will heat to 104°F (40°C) and auto shut-off after 4 hours.
- 8-Hour Heating Mode (Blue Indicator): Press the button twice: The bed will heat to 104°F (40°C) and auto shut-off after 8 hours.
- Therapy mode (Green Indicator): The 30-minute herbal therapy mode gently heats to 113°F (45°C). When used with the included herbal pads, it delivers targeted warmth to promote blood circulation and relieve arthritis-related discomfort.
Press and hold the button at any time until the green light appears. After 30 minutes, the system will automatically switch to the 4-hour heating mode (red light).
- Power Off: Press the button three times.
How do I use self-heating herbal pads?
- The 30-minute herbal therapy heats The Bed to 113F to help improve blood circulation and reduce arthritis pain.
- Affix the sticky herbal pads on the back of the mattress cover on the designated circles by turning the mattress cover inside out.
- Remove the herbal pads after every use
How do I wash and care for Knead Therapeutic Bed?
- The cover is fully washable and will remain in perfect condition for about 40 washes.
- Unzip the outer cover, and wash in a laundry bag in cold water on a gentle cycle.
- Line dry.
- Do NOT tumble dry, bleach, or dry clean.The foam mattress is water-resistant and can be wiped with a wet cloth.
