Knead bed has been an integral part of managing my cats' arthritis. In combination with a prescribed care plan from our veterinarian, this product has been essential in helping my cat feel better.
The proof has been in her mobility . . .she no longer limps, is eager to play, and has her sweet temperament back!!
The price is definitely an investment into our cats health; however, after trying every other bed on the market, this one seems to provide the value we have been looking for over the last 14 years.
I do hope that Knead will soon make replacement covers available for separate purchase. It would be great if these covers could be available in several color options!

I have an old almost 19 year old cat. She has been getting Solensia shots and I give her glucosamine for arthritis as well. But decided to also give this a shot. I placed her on it and she immediately settled in. Didn’t need any of the usual tactics. She now is almost sleeping too much lol She is obsessed with this bed both when the heater is on or off. It’s been about a week. I hope the bed itself holds up and no tech issues but from a cat review perspective she’s a fan. I hope I also see general improvement to her mobility from the heat therapy and trying the herbal patches

It took a little over a day for our cat gravitate to the Knead bed. She loves it. As important, the customer support I received when the bed was having issues with staying on was top notch. Very quickly through chatting with customer support, a defective cable was the issue. New cable was sent same day.

As a team of cat lovers, we want to help fellow cat parents create a cat-first mattress that helps soothe cats with arthritis. We partnered with vets and veterinary behaviorists to develop Knead Therapeutic Bed to provide warmth, joint support and holistic sleep wellbeing to improve the quality of life for cats with arthritis.
What makes Knead Therapeutic Bed different than other cat beds?
Our bed is made by cat experts who strive to relieve the symptoms of arthritis in cats and improve their quality of life. OrthoShape to conforms cat’s bodies and contour their common sleeping postures, so they feel secure and relaxed. Human grade, high-density memory foam cradles and provides orthopedic support and relieves pressure on arthritic joints. How does it warm up?
Knead Therapeutic Bed is designed to reach its cat-friendly temperature (104F) after a minute or two. Smart electronics detect and maintain this temperature to prevent any injury, which can be caused with higher temperatures. Place your hand on the mattress surface to feel the difference after 1-2 minutes to experience the warmth for yourself.
How do I turn on the heat?
- Press the button once to activate continuous heat mode: orange indicator light
- Press the button twice to activate the 4-hour heat mode: white indicator light
- Press the button three times to activate the 8-hour heating mode: blue indicator light
- Press the button four times to turn the heat off
- Press and hold the button for 3 seconds, at any time, to enter the herbal therapy setting: red indicator light
How do I use self-heating herbal pads?
- The 30-minute herbal therapy heats The Bed to 113F to help improve blood circulation and reduce arthritis pain.
- Affix the sticky herbal pads on the back of the mattress cover on the designated circles by turning the mattress cover inside out.
- Remove the herbal pads after every use
How do I wash and care for Knead Therapeutic Bed?
- The cover is fully washable and will remain in perfect condition for about 40 washes.
- Unzip the outer cover, and wash in a laundry bag in cold water on a gentle cycle.
- Line dry.
- Do NOT tumble dry, bleach, or dry clean.The foam mattress is water-resistant and can be wiped with a wet cloth.
